What We Do
Working together is the key to everything in Rotary, everyone serves on a committee, ours comprise of-
Club service this committee is to help members if they have a problem, to organise internal events, to support the President’s major activities – staring with what we call the 'handover' when the new President is elected every year, to arranging our annual Christmas Dinner and Carol Service.
Community and Vocational Service The purpose of the Community & Vocational Committee is to raise the awareness of the rotary club and the wider work of Rotary within the local community. The committee will give help and guidance to enable all Rotarians to identify and address the needs of their local area.
We organise local projects such as conservation at Whelford Pools and taking a team from Gloucestershire to the Rotary Disabled Sports Championships in Coventry.
Youth Oppotunities puts on the Young Musician, Public Speaking and the Young Chef competitions. Organises a Kids Out event for disabled youngsters, supports the Life Education scheme in Primary Schools. Sponsors young people to take part in the Rotary Leadership scheme and supports young potential Olympic athletes via the Sports Aid organization.
International The International Committee exemplifies Rotary's worldwide commitment to

improving health and social welfare and relieving poverty, especially in the developing world.
Cirencester Rotary annually supplies Aquaboxes and Shelter Boxes for emergency relief, currently sponsors a specialist volunteer in Vietnam, is undertaking an Intercare project (medical supplies for Africa) and is raising funds for Wateraid projects in Tanzania.
Foundation is Rotary's own Charity; it has raised billions of pounds to help eradicate a whole range of diseases from tuberculosis and aids, from leprosy to malaria. Rotary is the lead organisation worldwide in the eradication of Polio and has recently pledged an additional $200M over the next three years to help complete its eradication.
